Physical AI only works at the high end of the market
Spent yesterday on a physical AI panel hosted by S. Horowitz & IATI - Israel Advanced Technology Industries Association.
Now is the right time to AI-enable opportunities in traditional industries that simply were not open before. This is one of the areas where we focus our energy at Grove Ventures.
But "big opportunity" is not enough. Selling into physical industries is always slow. The integration tail is long, the buyer is cautious, and the cycle does not bend just because the technology is good.
So the math only works at one end of the market. We look for founders tackling problems large enough, and generating enough value for the customer, to justify the deal sizes and the time it takes to close them.
This is the bar Wiliot, NoTraffic, LimitlessCNC, and OneLayer cleared when we first met them. A few others have too, not yet public.
If you are building toward this bar, we want to talk.
Thanks to Leeat Sokol, Mordehay (Moti) Malca and their teams for putting it together, and to Itay Rand (10D), Nir Adler (State of Mind Ventures (SOMV)), and Lisya Bahar Manoah (Elron Ventures) for the conversation.
